Snohomish Co. Case No. 11-2-04920-3 (Filed 2011)

DSHS was aware that a convicted child rapist was allowed unsupervised access to six children by their mother. When the mother and her sex offender husband absconded to New Mexico with the children, DSHS failed to notify the New Mexico authorities leaving the children to be horrifically abused, both physically and sexually.  We successfully settled this case for $9 million.
